Shakespears Sister - Hello
Life is a strange thing
Just when you think you learnt how to use it
It's gone
My favourite song ever. Released in November of 1992, it reached number 14 in the UK charts. The video was directed by brilliant Sophie Muller, of course.
Shakespears Sister "GBCW" was released as a single twice since the record company was so convinced of its success. In September of 1991 it reached # 56, and after the success of "Stay", it entered the Top 40 at # 32. The video.... it won the Best video nomination in 1992. The best video of the 90's, no doubt!!
Shakespears Sister / One of my favourite Shakespears' songs. "My 16th Apology" is the fifth single from "Hormonally Yours" released in 1993 and managed 64 in the UK charts. The video is interesting as it is essentially made up of videos for "Goodbye Cruel World", "I Don't Care", "Hello" and "Stay" and footage from live gigs much of which is not included on those videos.
Siobhan Fahey covers Jefferson Airplane 's White Rabbit.
Well, a favourite book from my childhood - "Alice in the Wonderland" as well as my favourite cartoon :-)
Here is the Sisters' Last Performance...
Hope Jack, you are going to enjoy this as much as I do... And again, so many thanks to Mike for this video!!!!
The first Shakespears Sister's performance happened in Leningrad, Russia in November of 1988. Dave , Marcy and Siobhan were supporting Boris, a Russian Rock singer, and there, in Lenin Concert Hall, the girls performed 2 of their new songs - Dirty Mind and Heroine... Gosh, it was 19 !!!! years ago.....
