Matthew, Sooty, Sweep and Soo return from visit friends. Matthew decided to travel back during the night to save getting stuck in traffic jams, so Sooty and Soo slept in the car during night, but Sweep didn't! Sweep finds it hard to stay awake and ends up sleepwalking to a nearby furniture store.
Soo is moaning about the mess of the house, and wants all the junk thrown out. But Matthew,Sooty, Sweep and Scampi disagree with Soo and think there is no rubbish, but there are soon proved wrong by Soo.
There is a certain magic in the air, thanks to Sooty's magic wand. Soo is talking backwards, Matthew is going to his bed when he just got up and everyone is doing everything Back To Front.
It's Sooty's Birthday, and Matthew, Sweep, Soo and Scampi pretend they have forgotten and surprise Sooty with a very special present. Also, Matthew takes Sooty to the Sooty Museum. They return home and Rod, Jane and Freddy sings to Sooty. With a help from Matthew and Soo.

Sweep has learnt about fire safety at school and has become hyper sensitive to any kind of fire! However when Mathew takes things into his own hands and deals with a fire himself, he gets more than he bargained for!
